A Dionysia is a festival of joy celebrating the departure of winter and the promise of sun and summer. In homage to the Greek god Dionysius, and more broadly, to the sensual pleasures of good food, wine and art, the festivities give us excuses to taste new wine, feast, and be entertained by musicians from the Northwest Sinfonietta. The Greeks credited Dionysius with having delivered the people from the wants and troubles of winter.
Bid arrivederci to winter and buongiorno to summer’s gaiety Text Box: and freedom.

Text Box: You are welcome to join us in our 6th gala fundraising event Dionysia, featuring wine tasting, dinner, entertainment and auction.
Experience the magical enchantment of Tuscany at the Northwest Sinfonietta’s
Dionysia on June 18 at Annie Wright School, where the evening will be evocative of the rustic food, wine, hills and villas of Tuscany. We will wine and dine and bid to benefit the Northwest Sinfonietta’s education
programs and concert season.
This year we will offer art, travel and lifestyle packages, special wines and other one-of-a-kind items. Last year our guests contributed $50,000. (Wine tasting from the nectars of Beringer Estates might have helped!)
